ABBridge is the quarterly newsletter of AsiaBiobusiness.
The newsletter is published at the AsiaBiobusiness blog site and also as a PDF download at this website.
Our activities can be broken down in two types:
We have five practice areas with four biotechnology practices covering all of the colours of the biotech rainbow (we admit the distinctions are becoming less distinct), namely:
Our global projects have included: sector analysis and strategy planning, partnering, market research and analysis, regulatory advice and positioning, issue management, IP audits and idea creation for value addition etc. We have considerable expertise at the public/private sector interface, working with public sector institutions to commercialize intellectual property.
We also have a very active Communications practice that offers advice and training in issue management and Risk Communication. (In 2008, we spun out the Asia Centre for Risk Communication in association with Dr Vincent Covello of the Center for Risk Communication in New York). Our Asia Centre has become active in Risk Communication around non-technology issues.
Asia BioBusiness develops human resource capability through its training courses on commercialization of intellectual property in both biomedical and agricultural biotechnology. These courses are available to the public sector researchers/policy makers and regulators and to the private sector. One of the most popular offerings is a course on Risk Communication, that is communication in controversial areas associated with technology. We also offer training in the Skills needed for Innovation and Entreprenurship.
Asia BioBusiness also offers half-day executive briefings for government officials, policy makers and regulators, embassy staff, the finance community, civil society groups in a broad range of biotechnology-related subject areas.
